Kuala Lumpur: not so expensive... Hilton We filmed a detailed review of our favorite affordable hotel in Kuala Lumpur – Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur South. After many visits to the city, this is the place we keep coming back to.

At first glance, paying around $55 per night for a Hilton may seem unnecessary when Kuala Lumpur is full of even cheaper hotels. But our experience has taught us that online ratings don't always tell the whole story. That's why we value a hotel that consistently delivers clean rooms, comfortable beds, reliable service, and spectacular city views.

Our compact room on the 21st floor had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but the real highlight was the panoramic view. From our window we could see the iconic KL Tower and the soaring Merdeka 118, while some rooms even overlook the famous Petronas Twin Towers.

The location is another pleasant surprise. Right outside the hotel you'll find a huge local market with inexpensive tropical fruit, authentic cafés, and restaurants. A short walk takes you to the monorail, and from there it's only a couple of stops to Kuala Lumpur's futuristic city center. If you prefer walking, you can even reach KLCC on foot, enjoying the fascinating contrast between traditional neighborhoods and modern skyscrapers along the way.

In our video, we take you inside the room, show the rooftop facilities, explain the differences between the North and South towers, and share why we believe Hilton Garden Inn offers one of the best value-for-money stays in Kuala Lumpur.

If you're planning a trip to Malaysia and want a hotel that combines the reliability of the Hilton brand with an affordable price, this review may help you decide whether it's the right choice for your stay.
